I am so sick of people who uses semicolons on everywhere they want without knowing it's purpose. What the hell were you thinking, we studied about it when we were in our primary years! Yes, I was once of 'them' but now I know I was wrong and I was so dumb enough to forget  the uses of it. Okay let me get to the point where I show you how, where & when to use a semicolon.

First of all a semicolon is a conventional punctuation mark with several uses, mainly for pauses in sentences. An Italian printer Aldus Manutius established the practice of using the semicolon mark to separate words of opposed meaning, and to indicate interdependent statements. Ben Johnson was the first English writer to use semicolon systematically in 1591. So as you can see the uses of a semicolon is mainly for pauses in sentences, words of opposed(opposite) meaning and to indicate interdependent statements.

USES of SEMICOLON:

1. Between closely related independent clauses not conjoined with a co-ordinating conjunction: "I went to the swimming pool; I was told it was closed for routine cleaning."

2. Between independent clauses linked with a transitional phrase or a conjunctive adverb: "I like to eat cows; however, they don't like to be eaten by me."

3.between items in a series containing internal punctuation, especially commas, where the semicolons function as serial commas: "There are several Waffle Houses in Atlanta, Georgia; Greenville, South Carolina; Gainesville, Florida; and Mobile, Alabama."

4.to separate independent clauses conjoined with coordinating conjunctions, when the clauses have internal commas that might be misread: "After the game, I won a red and blue pinwheel, four hundred thousand edible ingots, a dozen frozen roses, and a certificate of excellence; but when the storm came, I lost it all in a torrent of sleet, snow, and profanity."

Semicolons are followed by a lower case letter, unless that letter begins a proper noun. In documents, semicolons have no spaces before, but one or two spaces after.

I hope this "brief" explanation can help you do better in writing, this itself doesn't come from my knowledge as it was a reference to everyone's trustworthy pal, the Wikipedia. So next time don't post up something like this:

Okay so New Year everyone, I hope everyone had a great celebration for the new year because I did! And I hope everyone's prepared for school, since it's PMB and all haha, well for me that is.

So I went to school today and yesterday and it was kind of boring. Since I don't have to study and just sit there doing nothing other than talking and picking my nose haha, too much information. Anyways, since I'm in year 9A(Form 3) I have to go to school in the morning which I kind of like since I can just waste my time after school in the afternoon. But the thing is I have to wake up early which bothers me because I'm not really used to it since I went to school in the afternoon for the past 2 years. Oh and we have 3 new teachers and a new discipline teacher since teacher Ronnie went "somewhere", but my teacher said he went to U.K but I don't know. The new teachers are so young and both were Chinese, everyone was like wooing on one of the teacher and I bet the teacher felt awkward since boys younger than her kind of like her? The discipline teacher is old but he's kind of nice I guess, and funny too.

My subjects teachers are still the same, except for B.M. The teacher is like so scary and like I'm scared to death of him, he's big and he's a mean lean uhh teacher? But he's kind of funny too nonetheless, and my Science teacher is different too. I don't know about the rest though, haven't met most of them yet; hope most of them aren't strict and all. There's new students on my class too, both from Malaysia and this Malay guy who failed before. And he's seventeen! My friend said he failed B.M, well I hope he'll pass his B.M this year since he's kind of nice and all.  But I guess he likes to be all alone since he's sitting at the back alone. I don't enjoy sitting at the back myself, but I have to since the teacher asked me to. Most of my classmates are still here, except some of them who moved to other school. I'll miss them. Being around familiar faces doesn't get me so much nervous.

I guess that's all for now, I'll try to keep my blog updated and all. Hope you guys had fun in your holidays for the past 2 months, byee.

I can't you give much link atm, my fucking internet is being an asshole.

Headaches, I totally hate headaches in the afternoon, it feels horrible and ugh, unexplainable.

Mimi came over yesterday and she was surprised of the new furniture and house makeover along with my Wii, she enjoyed playing it too especially Wario Ware haha. Harvest Moon was fun too, until you get headaches after playing it for awhile. Oh and I totally love my new iPod Touch! It is so totally cool and there are a lot of fun and interesting apps to choose from! I ended up getting weird yet fun apps and some of them are really useful too.

Anyways, I told my dad to buy these two games for Wii since most of the games were boring and guess what? Those two games needs nunchucks, incase you don't know what it is it's the external analog controller which I only have one, and that really bothers me and now we're back to being bored doing nothing except playing our laptops and do nothing. Which is boring as you can see.

But I am watching my Pokemon episodes so I'm not that really that bored. Oh and I'm blogging with my iPod Touch at the moment haha.
